Rotary Seat
Here is a photo of the seat Rotary facilitated on the lakefront in front of the Delta Pond Reserve, located along the foreshore of Lake Te Anau down the end of Howden Street.  It regularly has people using it already.
Seat was in place prior to Christmas which is great work.  The Fiordland Trails Trust installed the seat.

So come members get on board and catch up with them and have a great time with them! They want to spend time with us and spend some money locally too!

Bike Trail Weekend
Yet another dissapointing cancellation, .
I am sorry but due to the uncertainity of Covid for the next few weeks/months, and with some members pulling out, the trip to Dunstan cycle trail has been cancelled for Feburary 25- 27th.
All group related aspects to the trip have been cancelled, however if you have booked anything personally you will need to cancel this yourself.
Hopefully we can re visit this adventure, later this year when things settle down.

Spud in the Bucket Results
Well, what a great turn out of spuds - you all made for a great evening so thank you to everyone for coming along.

Well done to the 31 entrants - and of course, their owners and friends.

We hope that you enjoyed the evening showcase of your growing work - some of you dressed up well for the evening and a special well done to the owner of the best dressed spud - Doug Dennison.

Some of you grew better than others.

The prize at the small end went to Russell, who narrowly edged out Merv (by 10 grams) and Jeff (by 20 grams).

A couple of thanks for turning up and taking part (lucky dip) went to Pete and Steve.

And at the top end : Don with 2.55kg edged out the Sheppard family (2.0kg), Glenda (2.20kg) and Jim and Mark with 2.02kg - each completed the 2kg plus category.

Thanks to all helpers.  And a special message to Craig - put the spud in NOW ready for next year!!

Rotary 2022/23
Do you know where the money raised at Rotary ends up? Do you know what goes in behind the scenes? Craig is looking for people to give back to Rotary by giving one of our Director roles a go or if approached by Craig please consider giving something a go. This is a great way to find the answer to these questions and others. If interested please contact Craig McMurtrie and make a difference. A reminder that the Rotary Club of Fiordland is a service club. The club helps us as Rotarians as we provide service. Rotary helps us with organisation, personal development and public speaking to name a few.
