What is happening in the Ukraine is appauling, which got me thinking last week, how can I/we help.

 

I got hold of a contact at the Ukrainian Association of NZ in Dunedin and they have sent this through.

 

 

 

So it seems that Rotary is already heavily involved - so I'd like to propose that our Club send some money through to this hugely worthwhile cause which Rotary is obviously very involved in.

 

If you would like to donate, please bring along cash to your next meeting and deposit in the container at our entry table, or you can deposit money directly to our Trust Account 02-0965-0016041-00 - marked Ukraine Donation - so that by early July we can send a Club Donation through.

 

We are so fortunate to live where we do and I just can't imagine how millions of people are coping and through our Rotary Foundation, I personally believe this is a very worthwhile cause.

It's time once again to put your thinking caps on and see if we can think of a project we could do as part of the Annual District Grant programme.

 

If you have any ideas on something we could do for our local community, please let Craig know.  It doesn't have to be big, but every year we donate money to this District Grant programme via Foundation, which then becomes available for us to apply for back again via doing something worthwhile in our community, so its always good to do these Grants so that we can use the money back in our community.

 

DEADLINE - we only have until 31 July to find an idea, prepare a plan and budget and then forward via application to the District Grant Committee.

 

So please help our Club with your ideas.

PLEASE NOTE: As the roster has been drawn up so as everybody gets an equal share, if you arrange a substitute, try and swap with another person with the same duty perhaps the following week.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important that you let President Craig know who that substitute is.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to attend to your Duty please arrange a substitute, many don't check the roster and miss their obligation and this puts pressure on other members and creates confusion. . 

 

Your assistance to this simple process will assist us and The Club to operate effectively.
