Another Successful Auction
Did you know that there is always a degree of apprehension surrounding our Auction Night?
How many items will be offered for auction? Will we get lots of bidders along on the night?  What will be final total be?
 
Well, as usual our concerns need not have eventuated. The bidding was hot on some items and our auctioneers Gareth and Richard did a great job of encouraging everyone to open their wallets.  It's always great to see a variety of goods that everyone can bid on.  Every dollar counts so thanks to all the donors and bidders.  This year's auction raised a net $9784 which is in line with previous years.  Good work everyone!

Tipping Competition
Congratulations to Glenda for being the ultimate winner of the tipping competition. However, competition aside, the dress up component at the final award night left a few people guessing.  All in all it was a fun filled, social night. Thanks to Bill for his humerous poems and to both him and Lathee for hosting a fun night out.  The more the merrier for next year.

Lauren Sutherland has now attended the requisite number of meetings prior to being nominated for induction.  If there are no objections by members she will be inducted on Thursday 1st December. 
The following people have been allocated to duties for the next few weeks.  
 
Please note that if your name is listed here it is YOUR responsibility to find a replacement for your duty if you are not going to be available. You must also inform Doug if have swapped so that he can be properly prepared for the meeting (027 227 3859).  Ideally, if you have swapped a couple of weeks ahead it would also be helpful to email Alan so that duties can be fairly allocated across everyone - abandsballinger@vodafone.co.nz.
