Sadly I have come to the end of my productive time with the Fiordland Rotary Club.

I have struggled for quite some time now with the politics and structure of the Club and how it works, and having tried my hardest to share my thoughts and opinions over the many years I have served on the Directors committee, it's time for me to have a break and give everyone a rest from my relentless pestering of how I'd like things to change.

My resignation is effective immediately although I will obviously have to continue with a lot of the Treasurers workload until a replacement can be found.  My Rotary membership is paid up until the end of this Club year, ie to 30 June but after that I won't be able to act as Treasurer, in any capacity, because from 1 July I will no longer a member of the Club.

So Don and the Directors are now URGENTLY seeking a replacement Treasurer to step up as soon as possible.  This role is going to split into two positions to make it easier on the next members and split the work load. I am available to provide full training BUT I will be travelling overseas from 1 June for 3 months so I will only be able to provide support until the end of May.

If there is one thing I have consistently enjoyed during my membership of the Club and that is the social side of the Club - that I will definitely miss but I am sure I will see you all around town and out on my Post run, it just won't be at the weekly meetings anymore.

Cheers
Jane
