Belated Report on the Food Drop to the ex Howden Hut. This past season we made two trips to take food supplies to trampers doing the Routeburn/Greenstone tramp organized by the Milton Rotary Club.
We have been making these trips each season since 2001. This season, our first trip on 20th February 2024, involved Lionel Wason, Linley Wason, Bill Verrall, Mark Dowling and Jim Fortune.
Thanks to Lionel and Jim for use of their vehicles.
The second trip was on 19th March 2024 and involved Linley Wason, Lionel Wason, Jim Fortune, Brad Foote and Mark Dowling. Thanks agin to Lionel and Jim for use of their vehicles.
The Milton Rotary Club gives our club a donation each season for services rendered. It is a pleasant tripinto Howden and the trampers show their appreciation of our efforts and also provide tea/ coffee.
Everyone is welcome to join the team next season.
